In early 2006, Simon Lidington set up The Insight Exchange to help clients put customers at the heart of their businesses. Having worked extensively as a management consultant with CEOs, boards, and management teams, as well as serving as a CEO himself, Simon could see the potential for a new kind of consultancy geared towards building stronger bonds between customer experience, business strategy and commercial value.
Over the last 30 years, Simon has worked across many sectors and built
enduring relationships with clients such as Volkswagen Group. He is considered
to be the lead external architect of Skoda's brand transformation in the UK,
working with them as Management Partner between1992-99.
He has also worked with Audi, Seat, Volkswagen, Barclays, NatWest, Alliance& Leicester, Nokia, Telewest, the Office of Government Commerce, and many others.
Simon is currently the elected Chairman of the UK Market Research Society,
a Fellow of the RSA, and sits on the Advisory Council for the Economic & Social
Research Council's 'Cultures of Consumption' Programme.
